Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced CPA with 10-15 years of hands-on experience in tax preparation, tax strategy, and financial operations. This is a key leadership role for someone with a strong CFO or Controller background who can oversee tax compliance and planning for both individual and business clients, as well as manage financial reporting and client advisory services. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in tax laws and regulations, along with the ability to implement tax-saving strategies for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and nonprofit tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic tax planning and guidance to minimize liabilities and optimize financial outcomes.
- Oversee and manage the tax operations of client portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate filings while maximizing tax efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring clients remain compliant and informed of tax planning opportunities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls and procedures for tax reporting and preparation.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes for clients, with a strong focus on tax impacts.
- Provide mentorship and leadership within the firm to junior staff and colleagues, particularly in tax-related matters.
- Prepare and present comprehensive tax reports to clients, breaking down complex data into actionable insights.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in tax preparation and strategy implementation.
Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in tax preparation and tax strategy.
- Strong expertise in federal and state tax laws, tax compliance, and tax-saving strategies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tax projects and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a focus on tax-related problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex tax information in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience in client-facing roles with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

Salary Range: $130,000.00 – $160,000.00
